Huskies Close in on District Title After Win Over Grosse Pointe South
Lakeview High School's varsity boys basketball team defeated Grosse Pointe South 76-56 Wednesday.
With Wednesday's 76-56 victory over Grosse Pointe South (4-17), Lakeview High School's varsity boys basketball team is just one win away from clinching the district title.
Competing in Class A District 22, the Huskies (19-3) will face Detroit Southeastern (15-5) Friday at East Detroit High School. Tip-off is 5:30 p.m.
Lakeview's win Wednesday made it a clean sweep over Grosse Pointe's high schools. The Huskies defeated Grosse Pointe North 73-62 Monday.
