Lake Shore Leadership Class Seeks Donations for Care House
The Lake Shore High School Principles of Leadership class is collecting items for Care House of Macomb.

Homecoming festivities at Lake Shore is expected to have a philanthropic element as the Principles of Leadership class is collecting items for Care House of Macomb.
The class is inviting their fellow Lake Shore students, and the community, to collectΒ new teddy bears with tags, juice boxesΒ and individually wrapped snacks, which will be donated to Care House of Macomb.Β Β Β
Donated items will be given to Care House, whichΒ advocates against child abuseΒ and supporters of children who have endured abusive situations where children need to be forensically interviewed, according to a letter from the district.

If a child needs to be interviewed, Care House offersΒ a teddy bear, juice boxes and snacks to help the childΒ through the difficult process.Β
The Leadership Class will also be collectingΒ donations that can be used to purchase these items and to support operating costs at the Care House of Macomb.Β

Donation boxes will be distributed to buildings throughout the district, and the administration building. The boxes will be collected Oct. 3.Β Β
Lake Shore officials plan to present the donations to a representative fromΒ Care HouseΒ during the homecoming game Friday, Oct. 4.
