Lakeview Baseball Team Splits at Grand Blanc Tourney

Lakeview defeats Imlay City 12-2, but loses to Grand Blanc 15-9 in final.

The baseball team split its two games in the Grand Blanc tournament on Saturday.

Lakeview opened with a 12-2 victory over Imlay City as Nino Genna went 3-for-3 with two doubles, three RBI and two runs scored.

Nick White drove in three runs on two hits, and Tyler Dombrowski and David Morris each went 2-for-4 for the Huskies.

Winning pitcher Steve Vollmer struck out four in four innings pitched.

In the championship game, Lakeview lost to host Grand Blanc 15-9.

Dombrowski went 3-for-4, and Karl Schneider went 2-for-3 with two runs for the Huskies.

White and Genna each had two hits for Lakeview.
