Police said the argument started over an out-of-order restroom inside the restaurant.

Godbold, who was working as a DoorDash driver, got into an argument with the restaurant owner, Jose Perez, over an out-of-order restroom.
Perez told WXYZ the toilet wasn't connected to piping or water, but he said Godbold went ahead and still used the restroom.
"He came to the counter, and I told him whatever you did in the bathroom, it's not right, so the order you came to pick up, I'm not going to give it to you. I took it from here and put it over there," Perez told the news station.
Police said Godbold then tried to grab the DoorDash order he was picking up, but Perez still refused to hand it over. Godbold then attacked Perez and broke a window at the restaurant before walking out, police said.
Godbold then returned to the restaurant with another man and the two went on to beat Perez, police said.
"This was not a spontaneous act. Video shows the suspect left, returned with help, and came back to continue the attack," Macomb County Prosecutor Peter Lucido said. "This attack was a threat to public safety, and a complete lack of respect for our laws."
Police said officers found Godbold in a vehicle near the restaurant and conducted a traffic stop. He was then arrested in connection with the incident.
Police were still working to identify the second man.
Anyone with information was asked to call the St. Clair Shores Police Department at 586-445-5305.
