St. Clair Shores Needs A Movie Theater: Patch Readers
Trader Joe's, Starbucks among businesses St. Clair Shores Patch readers want to see come to town.

ST. CLAIR SHORES, MI — Recently, the St. Clair Shores Patch asked readers what businesses they would like to see come to town. Thus far, we’ve received 94 interesting responses. The theme?
More grocery stores, and one of them better be a Trader Joe’s. More than 20 people said St. Clair Shores needs more options when it comes to grocery stores and Trader Joe’s was by far the most common response. A few mentioned Aldi’s and others talked about Costco, although they didn’t specifically say they wanted it for the retailer’s food items.
Readers also want additional restaurant options and a Starbuck’s would be really nice, too. The other big-ticket item in St. Clair Shores was a movie theater.

Folks really miss the Shores Theater, which closed in 2007. Some would like to see it refurbished and others would be just fine if Emagine or another theater came to town.

A few people asked for drug stores and book shops. The most unique response came from a reader that would like to see a giant indoor sporting facility built. Preferably one with indoor baseball batting cages.
