Did You Feel the Earthquake? Trenton Residents Chime in on Facebook
An earthquake in Virginia could be felt all the way in Michigan, including Dearborn, Detroit, Trenton, Taylor and Wyandotte.

An earthquake Tuesday afternoon left some Trenton residents feeling all shook up.
People as far away as Toronto, Ohio and Michigan could feel the 5.9-magnitude earthquake, which was centered 27 miles east of Charlottesville, VA. .
The U.S. Geological Survey said the earthquake struck at a depth of 3.7 miles, accounting for Americans hundreds of miles away being able to feel its tremors. Several people commented on Facebook and Twitter that they could feel the tremors in Michigan.

On Trenton Patch's Facebook page, some Trenton residents said they could feel buildings shaking; others said they felt nothing.
- Janet Pitrone Kasic Did I feel the earthquake you ask? YES, I was in it!! I am in Richmond, Virginia in my hotel room and my entire room was shaking, pictures fell off the walls and now I have no cell phone services. It was surreal for me. Couldn't believe it! Yes, the earth definitely moved for me today!! HA!
- Nichole M. Elliott: Heart raced, hair on arm stood up and lasted about a minute, others in my office felt thier chairs and cubicles wobbeling as well
- Happy Pineapples: My coworker felt it and it was just a sway or two - I'm betting it was an aftershock of the 5.8 in DC
- Janet Naylor Vandenabeele: It's being reported in various media outlets here, in Ohio and blowing up Twitter. Friends in DC said bldgs were evacuated there. I felt it here in Southfield at work.
