Own a Piece of Taylor Elementary
A district wide "garage sale" is set for Tuesday and Wednesday at William C. Taylor Elementary School.

With the in the forecast, is holding a district-wide "garage sale."
Last month a letter of intent to purchase the property was created by the Community Baptist Church and sent to interim superintendent Larry Leapley.
District Business Manager Gail Farrell said, though the sale of the property isn't final, the items need to be removed from the building.

"We're getting rid of all the extra desks and chairs in there," Farrell said. "We would have to get rid of the stuff anyway. If, and when, we sell the building we need to have it cleared out, so we might as well do it now."
The district will be selling many different items from inside the building in anticipation of the sale.

Some items for sale are student desks, student tables, student chairs, books, filing cabinets, overhead projectors, tape recorders, televisions and more.
Farrell said there are two pianos for sale for $50 each. She added the pianos were appraised and the asking price is reasonable, when transportation is taken into consideration.
There will also be five electric stoves from 's former home economics classrooms for sale. The school no longer provides the class.
The sale has been divided into different days and times for non-residents, residents and district staff members:
- Trenton residents only are welcome to take advantage of the sale from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 13. Proof of residency is required for purchases.
- Trenton Public Schools Staff are welcome to make purchases from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 13.
- All are welcome to the sale from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 14.
The "garage sale" will be held at , 3700 Benson Street. Participants should use the front entrance on Benson Street.
Cash and personal checks are accepted with proper identification. Those making purchases are responsible for loading and transporting their own items.
All sales are final. Everything sold as is.
Any money generated from the sale will go to the district's general fund according to Farrell.
