Trenton Boys Soccer Win in District Quarterfinals

As host, the boys soccer team wasn't gracious. They invited Detroit Southwestern to their table Tuesday and took the first course for themselves.

The Trojans beat Detroit Southwestern 7-1 to progress on to the Division 2 district semifinals.

Senior Matt McCourt scored three goals. Senior Chris Porreca, senior Cody Thompson, sophomore Garret Nabozny and sohphomore Davide DiPoce scored the other four goals to get Trenton the win according to Trojan head coach Tony Ciarlo.

The second course will be served at 7 p.m. Thursday at Trenton High School when the Trojans take on Crestwood.

The winner will play for the district championship at noon on Saturday.
