Trenton HS Boys Basketball Having Best Season in Years
Trenton High School boys basketball coach Rick Morrow said this season, so far, "is quite an accomplishment" for his team.

Trenton High School boys basketball coach Rick Morrow knows something about humble beginnings.
Three years ago his team had a one win season. This year, his team is in position to win a league title. They currently have 11 wins and 4 losses for the season.

The Trojans have won nine of their last ten games, with their only loss to Taylor Truman in overtime.
Morrow said some of his main contributors are Dan Hall and Jason Zahran who, βare playing extremely well.β

The teamβs highest scorer, Zahran, is having the best season of his life.
Team captains Mike Czarnecki and Chad Hamilton continue to lead the team in the right direction according to Morrow.
Morrow said his athletes perform on and off the court. The teamβs average grade point average is 3.3.
βThey have worked very hard in the offseason,β Morrow said.
When not wining games, the team dedicates themselves to community efforts like providing Christmas presents to kids at the Penrickton Center for Blind Children in Taylor and collecting donations during the three-day Hockey Showcase at Kennedy Recreation Center.
The boys stand outside in the Kennedy parking lot, no matter the weather, and collect money for a needy Trenton family.
βI am so proud of this team, not just because they are winning, but because they show commitment to community, team and education,β Morrow said. βI think the City of Trenton should be proud of these future leaders.β
The Trojansβ next game is against the Wyandotte Roosevelt Bears this Friday at Wyandotte.
