2 Arrested, 1 At-Large After Oakland County Car Theft: Police

TROY, MI — Two people were arrested in connection with a Tuesday car theft in Troy, according to police.
Officers found the suspects at a car dealership near Maple and Crooks roads at 3 p.m. Tuesday, according to police.
Officers arrested two of the suspected thieves while a third sped off in a stolen vehicle, according to police.

During the pursuit, two police vehicles were damaged, but no officers were injured, according to police.
The suspect sped onto northbound Interstate 75 before crashing near Coolidge Highway, between Crooks and Adams roads, according to police.

After the crash, the driver got out of the vehicle and ran into a nearby area, according to police.
Officers set up a perimeter, but were unable to catch the suspect, according to police.
"While the individual remains at large, we do not believe there is a danger to the public," the police report said.
