Below are a few winter adventures to add to your weekend agenda.

TROY, MI — TGIF! Below are a few events to add to your calendar!
1. Chill out at the Ferndale Holiday Ice Festival on Saturday, Dec. 10 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Check out ice carvers as they use chainsaws, knives and blades to create ice masterpieces in Schiffer Park on W. 9 Mile Rd. and Planavon St.
2. Get into the Christmas spirit at the Feliz Navidad celebration at Campus Martius on Dec. 9 and Dec. 10. There will be tequila, tacos and holiday cheer!

3. Hit up the Winter Art Tour. More than 150 artists will show off their fantastic creations in Ann Arbor and Ypsilanti.
4. Check out Corktown-A-Glow! The Corktown Business Association and Corktown business owners are putting on a day of holiday shopping and dining specials, caroling, roasting marshmallows, hot cocoa and a festive tree lighting on Trumbull and Bagley at 6 p.m. There will even be a complimentary shuttle from noon to 6 p.m. to travel to businesses. The event is free but you can give back by donating new, unwrapped toys for children and socks for the homeless, which the Detroit Police Department will distribute to families in need. Corktown-A-Glow is from noon to 11 p.m.

5. Enjoy a show by Detroit's very own wildly talented musicians at the Detroit Symphony Orchestra.
