Adams Road Closure Marks Metro Detroit Weekend Construction

TROY, MI — The Michigan Department of Transportation will be closing Adams Road in each direction under southbound I-75 from 10 p.m. Friday until 2 p.m. Saturday to set bridge beams. Adams Road is expected to have one lane open in each direction under I-75 by 2 p.m. The bridge work is part of the ongoing $91.8 million reconstruction of I-75 between South Boulevard and Coolidge Highway in Oakland County.

During the closure, northbound Adams Road traffic will be detoured using eastbound Square Lake Road to northbound Coolidge Highway, then westbound South Boulevard back to Adams Road. Southbound traffic will be detoured via eastbound South Boulevard to southbound Coolidge Highway, then westbound Square Lake Road back to Adams Road.
