. in Troy is proud to sponsor, for the second year in a row, the Drive to benefit Children’s Hospital’s First Words Society on Saturday, April 21 from 8 a.m.-8 p.m.
E-Clutter for Kids is an electronics recycling fundraiser that allows you to donate electronic waste that will later be re-purposed or recycled. Each donation will get a tax deduction receipt.
"Springtime is the perfect opportunity to clean out all of the unwanted electronic items we have at home or at the office,” said eTitle President and CEO Linda Orlans, who is also a founding member and president of Beaumont Children’s Hospital’s First Words Society.

“With E-Clutter, you can get rid of those items while protecting the environment and supporting the needs of local children.”
E-Clutter benefits the Beaumont Children’s Hospital’s First Words Society, a nonprofit organization providing treatment for underserved children with speech and language disorders and affiliate of The Children’s Miracle Network.

2011 was the first E-Clutter for Kids drive, and the group was able to raise more than $11,000 for the First Words Society. Volunteers at drop-off locations across Metro Detroit filled 10 semi trucks and six dumpsters and helped the environment by recycling more than 100,000 pounds of potentially toxic waste material that would have otherwise ended up in landfills. Statewide Recycling and Recovery will once again dispose of the electronic waste.
Below is a list of items that will be accepted for recycling at eTitle and the other area drop off locations. For more information or questions, and a list of other participating locations, contact Katie Groves, associate director, Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals’ program at Beaumont, at 248-551-3609.
