
Our region is home to many cultures from around the globe. To help celebrate and explore these cultures, the (THS) is presenting a unique lecture series for 2012 on Wednesdays at 7:30 p.m.
Speakers will present their stories and explain how they found a place in Michigan. Lectures are sponsored by the Michigan Humanities Council.

- April 18: Mary Kamidoi and her family were place in a Japanese Internment Camp when she was 11 years old. She is now an officer of the Japanese American Citizens League in Michigan.
- May 16: Marius Sidau grew up in northwest Romania where village life and old traditions flourished. He arrived in the United States six years ago and is now a Cultural Anthropologist.
A fee of $5 is required at the door, and reservations are not required. Lectures are free to all THS members. Presentations begin at 7:30 p.m., and refreshments will be served.  Â
