The following information about police incidents is taken directly from the most recent Troy Police Department media releases.

Auto/vehicle thefts
Kona Grill, 20 E. Big Beaver Rd., Jan. 8, 4-4:15 p.m.: Complainant reported his 2006 Chevy Equinox was in the lot with the engine running and keys inside warming up. Complainant advised when he returned the vehicle was missing.
Macy’s, 500 W. 14 Mile Rd, Jan. 8, 7:10 a.m. to 5:15 p.m.: Complainant reported she parked her 1998 Dodge Intrepid in the lot near Macy’s, when she returned the vehicle was missing.
Breaking and entries
Anderson Music, 3790 Rochester Rd., Jan. 6, 12:42 a.m.: Officers responded to a glass breakage alarm. Officers arrived and found the front door glass smashed. The store manager advised the cash register was missing however there was no money in it. A saxophone valued at $7,000 was missing.

Credit, check, identity theft, other fraud
3000 block of Glouchester, Sept. 13, 2013, 12 noon: Resident reported she discovered missing checks from her check book and contacted her bank. The bank advised the checks had been cashed in the amounts of $1,095, $2,925, $2,047, $940, and $890. All checks were made to “cash.” Resident advised she did not write the checks.
3000 block of Estates Drive, Dec. 22, 2013, 7 p.m.: Complainant reported she was contacted by her Discover Card due to unusual charges. Complainant advised she did not make the charges.

2000 block of Somerset, Nov. 30-Dec. 14, 2013: Resident reported she used her card at Target on Nov. 30. On Dec. 14, unknown persons generated a check from her account in the amount of $895.89 to Best Buy.
Driving under influence of alcohol/drugs
4000 block of Belzair Street, Jan. 7, 12:02 a.m.: Troy officers responded to a call of a vehicle in the ditch. Officers could detect a strong odor of intoxicants coming from inside the vehicle. The driver had red glassy eyes and slurred speech. The driver admitted to drinking and failed field sobrieties. The driver, a 33-year-old from Clinton Township, was arrested for operating while intoxicated (second offense). Breath test result was .20 percent.
Rochester Road and Wheaton Street, Jan. 9, 1:23 a.m.: Troy officers stopped a vehicle which made an improper turn. Officers detected a strong odor of intoxicants coming from inside the vehicle. The driver admitted to drinking and failed field sobrieties. The driver, a 26-year-old from Warren, was arrested for operating while intoxicated. Breath test results were .10 percent.
Home invasions
100 block of Square Lake Road, Jan. 6-8, 8 a.m. to 10 a.m.: Resident reported his home had been broken into. The back door was pried open and the chain lock was broken. Two jewelry boxes and a vase containing coins were missing.
Larcenies
Planet Fitness, 288 John R Rd., Jan. 7, 6:01 p.m.: Complainant reported he placed his wallet in an unlocked locker, when he returned the wallet was missing.
Larcenies from autos
1000 block of Jackson, Jan. 5-6, 6 p.m. to 6:10 a.m.: Resident reported her vehicle was parked in the lot, when she returned she discovered her catalytic converted had been stolen off the vehicle.
Oakland County Probation, 1151 Crooks Rd., Jan. 9, 4:30-7:30 p.m.: Complainant reported his work van was parked in the lot. When he returned he noticed the ladder was missing from the roof of his van. Complainant advised the ladder had a lock to secure the ladder and it had been cut.
Malicious destruction of property
3000 block of Cedar Crest, Jan. 5, 8:41 a.m.: Resident advised her mailbox was damaged for the third time in two weeks.
Suspicious incidents
2000 block of Oakwood, Jan. 9, 6:23 p.m.: Resident reported she arrived home and left her attached garage door open. Minutes later she went out into the garage with garbage and observed a man walk out of her garage. The man fled in a vehicle and nothing appears missing from the garage.
