Drive for Life Invitational
Benefiting oncology services at Corewell Health hospitals in Royal Oak and Troy
On Monday, Sept. 29, the Drive for Life Invitational will be held at the Birmingham Country Club, a new location for this annual event. The event will benefit programs and services at the Walter & Marilyn Wolpin Comprehensive Breast Care Center at Corewell Health William Beaumont University Hospital in Royal Oak and the Wilson Cancer Resource Center at Corewell Health Troy Hospital.
In addition to a premium round of golf at one of the region’s most coveted courses, guests will enjoy lunch, a strolling dinner and awards. Golf pro Rick Smith will also be on hand to meet guests and share golf tips.
A fundraising committee of community and hospital leaders is chaired by Howard and Perle Wolpin. Honorary chairs are longtime Drive for Life supporters and Corewell Health Foundation Southeast Michigan donors Walter and Marilyn Wolpin.

The fundraising committee continues work to secure golf and advertising sponsorships from area businesses who support health care philanthropy. Top sponsors who have joined the cause so far include: Barton Malow, Comcast, HAP, UBS and Zelis. These and other generous donors have joined the hospital’s golf season partners: CBTS, Comcast Business, Doors of Pontiac/Michigan Doors, Others First, Roncelli and Whitlock Business Systems to support important patient care programs.
Sponsorship packages for golf and advertising are still available. To find out more, become a sponsor, or make a contribution, call (947) 522-0100 or visit CorewellHealth.org/DriveForLife. Registration requested by Sept. 11.
