Fire Causes Garage To Go Up In Smoke

Troy Fire Department reports smoke could be seen for miles.

TROY, MI — A fire quickly caused a garage to go up in smoke.

The Troy Fire Department responded to a report of a garage fire at 1121 Glaser at 2:46 p.m. on Nov. 3, according to a news release.

Black smoke emanating from the garage could reportedly be seen for miles. When firefighters arrived at the scene, they found the fire in the one-car garage. There were no occupants inside the garage, and firefighters deployed hose lines to quickly put out the fire. The main residence was not affected by the blaze.

DTE officials were called to examine nearby power lines to inspect for damage from the radiant heat and Fire Department Investigators attempted to determine what sparked the fire.

There were no injuries or fatalities to fire personnel or civilians.
