Flint Man Pleads Not Guilty to Charges of Passing Fake Bills at Somerset
The following information about police incidents is taken directly from the most recent Troy Police Department media releases.

A Flint man is suspected of using counterfeit $20 bills at four different stores in The Somerset Collection over the weekend.
Adam Jacob Ford, 19, pled not guilty on Monday to four counts of uttering and publishing, with one count including possession of counterfeit bills, at 52-4 District Court in Troy. Police said that on Sunday, Ford attempted to pass a counterfeit bill at several stores in the mall, including Mrs. Fields, Finish Line and China Town.
Ford's bond was set at $25,000 or 10 percent cash surety. He will return to court on Dec. 9 before Judge William E. Bolle.

Breaking and entries
Sterling Services, 700 Tower, Nov. 28, 6–7 p.m.: Officers responded to a complaint the convenience store had been vandalized. The store has several vending machines. Officers observed the machines had been pried open and the cash bins had been emptied. At the time of this report the employee did not know how much money was missing.
Drugs/narcotics
East Fourteen Mile Road and Kenyon, Nov. 30, 10:46 a.m.: Troy officers stopped a vehicle for an equipment violation. Officers suspected the driver was in possession of drugs. The driver advised officers he had marijuana in the console of his vehicle. The driver, a 26-year-old from Royal Oak, was cited for possession of marijuana.

Interstate-75 and West Big Beaver Road, Nov. 30, 12:28 p.m.: Troy officers stopped a vehicle for speeding. The officer detected an odor of marijuana coming from inside the vehicle. The passenger in the vehicle admitted to having the marijuana. The passenger, a 24-year-old from Pontiac was cited for possession of marijuana.
West Big Beaver Road and Crooks, Dec. 1, 1:40 a.m.: Officers stopped a vehicle for an equipment violation. The driver was found to have a suspended license. In the vehicle officers discovered a plastic jar containing marijuana. The driver, a 24-year-old from Troy, was cited for possession of marijuana and driving while license suspended.
Crooks Road and West Big Beaver Road, Dec. 1, 11:47 p.m.: Officers on patrol investigated an occupied vehicle in the lot of a closed business. The vehicle had an odor of marijuana coming from inside. The driver was found to have a suspended license and had a marijuana “roach” in his pocket. The driver, a 52-year-old form Warren, was arrested for possession of narcotic paraphernalia and driving while license suspended.
500 W. Big Beaver Rd., Dec. 2, 3:21 a.m.: Troy officers were dispatched to Wayne State Public Safety for a misdemeanor warrant arrest. The suspect, a 23-year-old from Detroit, was transported to Troy Police lockup, when officers patted the suspect down they discovered a schedule 4 narcotic without a prescription bottle in the suspects coat pocket. The suspect was charged with possession of prescription narcotics.
Driving under influence of alcohol/drugs
Skate World, 2825 E. Maple Rd., Nov. 30, 3:19 a.m.: Troy officers while on patrol observed an occupied vehicle in the lot while the business was closed. The vehicle was running and the driver appeared passed out at the wheel. Officers detected a strong odor of intoxicants coming from inside the vehicle. The driver had bloodshot glassy eyes. The driver admitted to drinking and failed field sobrieties. The driver, a 44-year-old from Troy was arrested for operating while intoxicated. Breath test results were .15 percent.
East Long Lake Road and Dequindre Road, Nov. 30, 11:04 p.m.: Troy officers stopped a vehicle for speeding. Officers detected a very strong odor of intoxicants coming from inside the vehicle. The driver had slurred speech and admitted to drinking. The driver, a 49-year-old from Troy, failed field sobrieties and was arrested for operating while intoxicated. Breath test results were .22 percent.
Interstate-75 and East Maple Road, Dec. 1, 3:01 a.m.: Officers were dispatched to a possible drunk driver. Witnesses stated the vehicle was “all over the road.” Officers located the vehicle and detected a strong odor of intoxicants coming from inside the vehicle. The driver admitted to drinking and failed field sobrieties. The driver, a 25-year-old from Auburn Hills, was arrested for operating while intoxicated. Breath test results were .16 percent.
Coolidge Highway and Derby Street, Dec. 1, 4:54 a.m.: Officers stopped a vehicle which had been involved in a domestic situation and had fled the scene. The driver was observed to have a strong odor of intoxicants coming from his person. The suspect refused to perform any field sobrieties and was arrested. In lock up, officers discovered a baggie containing Cocaine in the suspect’s sock. The suspect, a 32-year-old from Troy was charged with operating while intoxicated (second offense) and possession of cocaine. Breath test results were .15 percent.
Larcenies
Manic Shoe Store, 412 W. 14 Mile Rd., Nov. 30, 5 p.m.: Complainant reported she was shopping and placed her purse on a bench to pick up her child, when she turned around to get her purse it was gone. Complainant stated her purse contained $45 cash, insurance cards and a Blackberry phone.
JCPenney, 700 W. 14 Mile Rd., Dec. 1, 4:30–5 p.m.: Complainant stated she was at the jewelry counter trying on rings. Complainant stated she put her ring on the display case to try on a ring. Complainant stated she forgot her ring on the display case, when she returned her ring was missing.
Larcenies from autos
Granite City, 699 W. Big Beaver Rd., Nov. 29, 8:15–10 p.m.: Complainant advised she parked her vehicle in the lot, when she returned the passenger window was smashed out. Missing from the vehicle was a Macbook, DVDs, chargers and gloves.
Malicious destruction of property
2000 block of Coral, Nov. 28, 10:15 p.m.: Resident reported she heard a loud noise in front of her house, the next day she observed her mailbox was damaged.
4000 block of Alton Drive, Nov. 27-29, 5 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.: Resident reported someone had struck her mailbox, which was knocked off the pole.
100 block of Aberdeen Drive, Dec. 1, 5–9:30 p.m.: Resident reported someone damaged his mailbox by striking it and causing the mailbox to break into pieces.
