Troy-based performance-first learning company, Innovative Learning Group, has won three Bronze Brandon Hall Group™ Excellence Awards. The awards recognize custom learning and performance support projects that ILG completed with clients in the global healthcare and plastics industries.

"It’s a tremendous honor to receive these prestigious awards," says ILG CEO Lisa Toenniges. "Each of these projects used cutting-edge learning techniques and tools to create smart, customized solutions that effectively met our clients' needs and helped drive their business success."

ILG earned its first award, Best Advance in Custom Content, for its work with Plastipak Packaging Inc., a world leader in the design and manufacturer of high-quality, rigid plastic containers for the food, beverage, and consumer products industries based in Plymouth, Mich. The submission details a highly customized e-learning course that introduces maintenance workers in a manufacturing environment to situations that create high risk in their work. The course provides actionable ways to prevent injuries and safety incidents based on adjustments employees can make prior to and during their tasks. ILG’s two other awards were for its work with a global healthcare company based in France. The first award for Best Unique or Innovative Sales Program details the client’s innovative approach to train its sales organization to sell its new RSV drug. The phased, blended curriculum began with foundational e-learning courses and facilitator-led sessions, culminating in an in-person live launch. The live launch included a virtual reality experience to explore the virus and antibody, QR code quizzes, 3D-modeled hands-on displays of the virus, and practice through customized AI interactions delivered on smart speakers. You can hear more about this project in ILG’s podcast series, Let’s Talk Learning Technology.

The second award with this client was for Best Learning Governance. This project centered around the client’s goals for its governance model, which provides the direction, processes, and tools to streamline its quality training across the organization; develops a single global quality library; delivers effective, efficient training globally and locally; and ensures regulatory compliance.
