John R. Road In Troy Partially Reopens After Gas Line Break

TROY, MI — Crews worked overnight to repair a gas leak at a construction site along a major road in Troy, according to police.

As of Wednesday morning, only one lane in each direction on John R. Road is open between Big Beaver Road and Maple Road, according to police.

The road was completely closed Tuesday afternoon when the line break was first reported.

Contractors were working at the site of a Kroger gas station when they busted the gas line, according to a WWJ news report.

There were no injuries or evacuations.
