National Furniture Store Chain Opens New Metro Detroit Location
One of the largest furniture store chains in the U.S. recently opened a new metro Detroit location.

TROY, MI — A national furniture retailer recently opened a new metro Detroit location.
Bob's Discount Furniture recently opened a 36,000 square-foot building along John R Road at the Oakland Square in Troy, according to Continental Realty Corporation.
Bob's Discount Furniture is known for their wide variety of living and dining room, bedroom and outdoor furniture, such as sofas and couches, recliners, mattresses, tables, nightstands and home accents.

"Bob’s selected to open our store in Oakland Square for many reasons including that it is conveniently located in the heart of the tri-county retail area," said Chris Day, Senior Vice President of Real Estate, Bob’s Discount Furniture. "Our store, now in the former Bed, Bath and Beyond, is located in a vibrant retail corridor and we are delighted to join the other tenants in the center which is owned by Continental Realty Corporation."
With more than 200 locations across 26 states, Bob’s Discount Furniture has been recognized by Newsweek as one of America’s Greatest Workplaces and on USA Today’s Customer Service Champions list. It is the seventh-largest furniture store chain in the nation.

The new Troy store is the 11 Bob's Discount Furniture in Michigan. Other locations include Ann Arbor, Auburn Hills, Grand Rapids, Lansing, Livonia, Novi, Portage, Roseville, Shelby Township and Taylor.
The group the new store also brings Oakland Sqaure's capacity to 100 percent. Other popular retailers at the shopping center include Burlington Stores, Kohl’s, HomeGoods and Ulta.
