Oakland County Drivers To Deal With I-75 Closures All Weekend
Lane closures on the busy expressway will begin at 9 p.m. Friday before it closes in both directions two hours later until reopening Monday.

TROY, MI — Oakland County motorists who rely on I-75 to get around will need to adjust their travel routines as portions of the expressway will be closed in both directions this weekend due to a Michigan Department of Transportation project.
MDOT announced this week that crews will be removing an existing traffic shift this weekend which will force portions of I-75 to be closed. The expressway will be closed in both directions between I-696 and Square Lake Road (the I-75 Business Loop) as work removing the traffic shift begins.
Before the work was slated to begin, both directions of I-75 share the northbound lanes between I-696 and 13 Mile Road. The freeway closure will begin at 11 p.m. on Friday and crews will begin closing lanes at 9 p.m., MDOT said in a news release.
