• 2 Snowplow Trucks Stolen From Troy Parking Lot: Police (patch.com) — Residents in Troy may want to double-check their work vehicles after two unlocked snowplow trucks, left with keys inside at a John R Road business, were stolen overnight on Nov. 29. Police later recovered one of the trucks in Detroit, but the other remains missing as the investigation continues.
   

• 14th annual Say Detroit Radiothon draws big names, announces new St. Cecilia's ‘Say Play' center (clickondetroit.com) — A major charity radiothon at Somerset Collection in Troy just helped launch plans for a new “Say Play” youth and education center at Detroit’s historic St. Cecilia’s gym. The event, led by author Mitch Albom, drew sports legends and celebrities while raising money for after-school programs, health services, and recreation facilities that serve Detroit-area families.
   

• Michigan House cancels $645M in state spending without Senate OK (bridgemi.com) — Michigan House Republicans just canceled $645 million in state project funding, using a rarely used budget maneuver that bypassed the Senate and sparked fierce partisan backlash. Troy Republican Rep. Thomas Kuhn was one of the few lawmakers to publicly outline proposed cuts, including to a sexual assault investigation program that ultimately kept its funding.
