Suspected drunken driver allegedly backs into Troy Police car
A Troy Police officer noticed a vehicle weaving in and out of its lane just after midnight Friday near Wattles and John R roads. When the officer stopped the vehicle, the driver, who later failed sobriety tests, accidentally put the car in reverse and hit the gas, hitting the police car, according to a police report.
The 41-year-old Sterling Heights man was arrested on a charge of operating while intoxicated.

Cops find woman asleep at the wheel
Troy officers were dispatched to John R and Wattles road early Sunday morning after receiving reports that a woman was slumped over the steering wheel of her vehicle in the middle of the road.
The vehicle was on, locked and in the "drive" position and the woman's foot was on the brake, according to a police report. Officers positioned a patrol vehicle in front of her car, then attempted to wake the woman. According to the report, the woman eventually removed her foot from the brake pedal, bumping the police car. Officers continued to attempt to wake the woman by rocking the vehicle, knocking on the windows and using flashlights. After about five minutes, the woman put the car in park and the doors automatically unlocked, according to the report.

The 23-year-old woman from River Grove, IL, registered 0.23 percent blood alcohol content – nearly three times the legal limit of 0.08 percent – on a preliminary breath test and was arrested on a charge of operating while intoxicated.
Man banned from Burger King for allegedly flashing employee
Troy officers responded to on 14 Mile Road on Thursday evening after an employee reported a man had exposed himself to her while she was cleaning the men's restroom, according to a Troy Police report.
The man said he went into the restroom but left when he saw it was being cleaned, according to police. The man was banned from the restaurant.
Man uses strobe light to mimic police car
A Troy officer pulled over an 18-year-old Clinton Township man just after midnight Saturday after he was found traveling with a strobe light on top of his car. The driver told police he got the light to fool other drivers into thinking he was driving a police vehicle, according to a police report.
The man, whose license did not allow him to drive that late at night, did not have insurance and was also found to be in possession of narcotic paraphernalia. He was cited for those offenses as well as unauthorized use of lights, according to police. He also had an outstanding warrant out of another jurisdiction.
