Rep. Howrylak introduces resolution declaring October Filipino-American Heritage Month
State Rep. Martin Howrylak Wednesday introduced a resolution declaring October Filipino-American Heritage Month in the state of Michigan.
The resolution was co-sponsored by 17 other representatives and was approved in the House. Howrylak introduced the resolution to celebrate contributions Filipino-Americans have made throughout the entire state.
 "Filipino-Americans have a rich and diverse background in this country, and I am honored to help make this Filipino-American Heritage Month to honor the contributions they have made to our state," Howrylak said.

Howrylak was joined at the Capitol by Willie Dechavez, State Chairperson of the National Federation of Filipino American Associations, Nieves Lukasik, Amy Risvold, Sofy Bole.
