Rifle-Wielding Man Robs Troy Gas Station: Police
Police said a man walked into the gas station and pointed an AK-47 style rifle at the clerk, demanding cash from the register.

TROY, MI — Police are investigating an armed robbery that happened last week at a Troy gas station.
The robbery happened at 2:40 a.m. Thursday at the Shell Gas Station, located at 6951 Rochester Road in Troy, according to police.
Police said a man walked into the gas station and pointed an AK-47-style rifle at the clerk, demanding cash from the register. The clerk handed over an undisclosed amount of cash and the man fled the gas station on foot, according to police.

There were no injuries in the robbery and police said there is no additional threat to the public. Police did say they will boost patrol units in areas with businesses open overnight.
Police said the man was wearing a black ski-style mask, black hoodie, black and gray gloves, blue sweatpants and black tennis shoes. He was armed with a black and gray AK-47-style rifle, according to police.
