UPDATE: Severe Thunderstorm Watch Extended to 11PM
A line of severe thunderstorms are making their way through southeast Michigan this evening.

9 p.m. – UPDATE: The severe thunderstorm warning has expired for Oakland County, though a severe thunderstorm remains in effect until 11 p.m. Thursday.
7 p.m. – The National Weather Service in Detroit/Pontiac issued a severe thunderstorm warning for Oakland County at 6:45 p.m. A severe thunderstorm watch also remains in effect until 9 p.m.
Radar indicates that a severe thunderstorm capable of producing quarter-sized hail and damaging winds in excess of 60 m.p.h. is moving through Holly and will effect Ortonville, Clarkston, Oxford, Lake Orion, Lakeville and Leonard in the next hour. The warning includes surrounding areas, as well.

If you are in the path of the storm, move to an interior room on the lowest floor of your home or business, says the weather service. The severe thunderstorm warning will remain in effect until 8:15 p.m.
