The burger chain is opening its second Michigan location later this year in Troy.

TROY, MI — Troy’s growing culinary scene will take a turn toward Americana later this year. Shake Shack is set to open its second Michigan location at 888 W. Big Beaver Road, just east of the Somerset Collection on the north side of the road.
Known for its hamburgers, shakes, french fries, the eatery scores solid reviews on Yelp. Shake Shack is the latest restaurant that has either opened or is planning to open in Troy. That list includes Eddie V’s Prime Seafood, Crispelli’s Bakery and Pizzeria, and the Sedona Taphouse, the Detroit News reports.
Shake Shack opened its first Michigan location in downtown Detroit. The Troy location will be made with recycled and sustainable materials. The company started in New York City.

“The burger definitely lived up to my expectations and their special sauce took the burger to the next level,” she wrote, giving the restaurant 4 out of 5 stars. “The bun was perfectly buttered and toasted while the burger was well cooked although a little greasy. The fries had a great flavor, were crispy, and the cheese sauce is a must.”
Binnan O. of Novi wasn’t quite as kind in a May 22 review. He gave Shake Shack 3 out of 5 stars.
“Super excited for a shake shack here in Detroit after my first experience in New York but it didn't quite live up to expectations,” he wrote. “Burgers seemed smaller and not filling considering the price and wait although I thought all franchises standardize their portions? The beef was good but not out of the ordinary and the toppings mediocre.”
