TROY, MI — Two Oakland County residents were busted for allegedly stealing from a construction site, according to a police report.

Oakland County Sheriff's Office Deputies were dispatched to the 3000 block of Somerset Circle to work with Troy police on Jan. 31 at 3:12 p.m. Deputies say that Troy Detectives were running surveillance on two suspects when they saw them allegedly steal scaffolding from a residential construction site, load the stolen goods into a 2002 Chevrolet S-10 pickup truck and drive off. Soon after, Detectives conducted a traffic stop on the truck and took the suspects into custody, according to the police report. Police recovered the stolen property and impounded the truck and stolen materials, Deputies say.

Police say that the suspects were identified as a 25-year-old man and a 32-year-old woman, both of Waterford. Deputies assumed custody of the two suspects and took them to the Rochester Hills Substation. Once there, OCSO Detectives interviewed the suspects and got statements for the construction site incident in addition to an earlier Rochester Hills incident, according to a police report.
