Troy 7-Eleven Clerk Stabbed, Requires Surgery
A 30-year-old Troy 7-Eleven clerk was stabbed and rushed to Royal Oak Beaumont hospital for surgery.

TROY, MI — A 49-year-old Macomb Township man was recently arrested after allegedly stabbing an employee of a Troy part store. Allan Adams was charged with Felonious Assault and was arraigned at 52-4 District Court in Troy. He received a $2,500, 10 percent cash bond. Troy Police Sgt. Meghan Lehman said Adams posted bail and is free pending his next court date.
The incident occurred at a Crooks Road 7-Eleven on June 8 at about 1 a.m. Troy Police reports said Adams purchased several items and felt he wasn’t treated with respect. Aftering going to his car, police believe Adams walked back into the store and a verbal altercation followed.
Adams left again and was followed by a 30-year-old clerk outside. Police reports said Adams removed a knife he wears around his neck for protection and stabbed the employee in the abdomen.

The 30-year-old employee then ran back into the party store and was aided by another customer, who called police. Adams fled in a white 2008 Chevrolet Impala, but Troy officers caught up with him as he was traveling on Livernois Avenue approaching W. Wattles Road. Reports said officers were able to stop and arrest Adams without incident.

The victim was taken to Royal Oak Beaumont Hospital and underwent surgery, according to Lehman. She said he talked to detectives on June 8 after surgery.
