Troy Community Chorus Invites High School Vocalists to Enter Scholarship Competition for $750 Award

The Troy Community Chorus (TCC) is taking applications for its annual vocal music scholarship. The scholarship is open to high school students, grades 9 – 12, that reside in Troy and/or attend school in the City of Troy. The scholarship of $750 is designed to further the applicant’s musical education or training in Vocal Music.

Applications for the scholarship, as well as information on previous recipients, can be found at the Troy Community Chorus website at www.troycommunitychorus.com under Scholarships.

Important dates for applicants to keep in mind:

  • Applications must be submitted by Feb. 28, 2025
  • Applicants will be required to audition for the TCC board members on Tuesday, March 11 between 6:00 – 7:00 pm at Athens High School
  • The scholarship recipient will be invited to perform at the TCC’s Spring Concert on Friday, April 25 at Athens High School

Founded in 1978, the Troy Community Chorus is a non-audition choir consisting of 90+ adult members from across the metropolitan Detroit area who love to sing, want to develop their vocal skills and have fun in the process.
