Troy High Teacher Named SE Michigan Model UN Advisor of the Year
Jacqueline Ciolek named 2024 Chisnell Award Winner by SouthEast Michigan Model UN Association

On November 9, Troy High School teacher Jacqueline Ciolek was named the 2024 Chisnell Award Winner by the SouthEast Michigan Model UN Association at their annual fall conference held at Novi High School. This prestigious award recognizes individuals who demonstrate exceptional service to Michigan students by promoting Model United Nations.
Ms. Ciolek has dedicated countless hours to the Model UN program at Troy High School, providing students with opportunities to develop their leadership and collaboration skills. Emily Rusk, an English teacher at Troy High, shared the following: “Jac always goes above and beyond to ensure her students are supported in every way possible. Her dedication and passion have made a lasting impact on her students, and the program as a whole, making this recognition so well-deserved.”
The mission of the Troy High Model UN team is to provide students with opportunities to develop skills such as public speaking, debating, and negotiating while fostering an interest in global issues.
