Teens Fight over Marijuana; Dog Bites 11-Year-Old at Bus Stop

Detectives from the are investigating an incident involving two 18-year-old males from Troy and Rochester Hills after both teenagers sustained non-life-threatening injuries in a fight over marijuana, according to Troy Police.

The incident occurred on the 1000 block of Fleetwood just after midnight Monday.

According to a police report, the teenager from Troy was attempting to rob the Rochester Hills teenager of the marijuana the Troy teen was trying to buy from the Rochester Hills teen. The male from Rochester Hills required medical treatment and went to an area hospital following the fight.

The Troy teenager and several witnesses allege the Rochester Hills teen attempted to run them over with his car after the fight. Police seized marijuana and narcotic paraphernalia at the scene.

Dog bites 11-year-old

An 11-year-old male was bitten by a dog after he got off the bus near Lehigh & Bentley on Thursday afternoon, according to a police report. The child was treated at the hospital and released the same day.

The dog, a mixed-breed whippet, is owned by another student's family. The investigation has been turned over to Oakland County Animal Control.

Home, car hit by paintballs

A Troy resident on Barclay Court reported Saturday night that her home and car, which was parked in her driveway, were struck with paintballs. Troy Police also found two other homes and a car in the area had been hit by paintballs.

Man found in Dumpster arrested

While on patrol Friday afternoon near Stephenson Highway and Rankin Drive, a Troy Police officer discovered a man inside a Dumpster removing metal objects and throwing them to a woman to put in their truck bed. The man was found to have a suspended driver's license and a felony warrant out of another jurisdiction for unarmed robbery. The man was arrested.
