"I am elated that we are launching the bookmobile! Years of planning and preparation by Olivia Olson and her team have made this day possible, and they have amazing things planned for the bookmobile. I believe this will be such a positive way to impact our local schools, senior living, places of worship, organizations, events, and neighborhoods as we can now bring the library to people where they live, learn, practice, and play," Troy Public Library Director Emily Dumas said.
The bookmobile has a collection of more than 1,000 books and other materials for all ages. It will also offer visitors registration for a library card, place holds, renew items, manage library accounts and learn about the latest in library programs and services.

This service promises to brighten the lives of Troy residents, particularly those who cannot make it to the library due to illness or injury, age or disability, or lack of time or access to transportation.
"We are always working to bring library services out into the community and meet patrons where they are, and the Bookmobile will enable us to do that on a whole new level," Head of Community Engagement Olivia Olson said.
The Bookmobile is made possible by support from many donors and community partners including the Salle Owen Kaichen Trust, Friends of the Troy Public Library, Rotary Club of Troy, Troy Women's Association and Troy Community Foundation.
