Troy Residents Needed as Election Workers on Nov. 5

The City of Troy Clerk’s Office is seeking residents who would like to work on Election Day.  Election Inspectors must be current registered voters in the State of Michigan. Student Election Inspectors must be 16-17 years old, residents of the State of Michigan and citizens of the United States.  Applications are available at the City Clerk’s Office or on the City of Troy Elections webpage at troymi.gov/Government/Elections

Election Day is Nov. 5, 2013. Election Inspectors work from 6am - 8:30pm on that day. Election Inspectors earn an hourly rate of $7.50.

“This is a great opportunity to get involved in the election process,” City Clerk Aileen Bittner said. “Election Day is fun, informative, and ideal if you’re a retiree or a local college student with a flexible class schedule and are looking to make some extra income.”

All workers must live in Oakland County, be at least 16 years of age on the day of the election, and be a U.S. citizen.  Workers 18 years of age or older must be a registered voter in Oakland County.  For more information, call the City Clerk’s office at 248.524.3316.
