Troy School District to Accept School of Choice Applications

School Board approves spots for 25 Kindergarten and 25 First Grade students

On Tuesday, June 17, the Troy School District Board of Education voted to open a limited number of Schools of Choice spots for students who reside in a home zoned for a school district in Oakland County. The district will have openings for 25 kindergarten students and 25 first-grade students for the 2025–2026 school year.

The Schools of Choice application will open on Monday, July 7, and will close on Tuesday, July 22, at 4:00 p.m. Applications will be accepted through the Troy School District website (https://troy.k12.mi.us). If there are more applications than available spots, an internal lottery will be held on Thursday, July 24, and results will be posted on the Troy School District website by the end of the day on Friday, July 25, 2025.
