TROY, MI — The University of Michigan bought the land where the former Kmart headquarters sat in Troy, according to university officials.

U-M Health, Michigan Medicine’s clinical division said it purchased the 7-acre parcel, located at 3100 West Big Beaver Road, from owner Forbes/Frankel Troy Ventures LLC for $4.42 million.
