Tawas City woman dies in I-75 rollover crash
A 64-year-old woman from Tawas City, MI, died Sunday from injuries she sustained in a single-vehicle rollover crash on Interstate 75 south of Wattles Road on Sunday afternoon.
Officers and Troy firefighters responded and aided the woman, whose 2009 Chevrolet Malibu had left southbound I-75, struck a tree and rolled over, coming to rest on the roof of the car.

The Traffic Safety Unit continues to investigate the crash and any witnesses are asked to contact the Troy Police Department at 248-524-3477.
Police investigate ethnic intimidation incident
Police are investigating an incident in which a woman, who was attempting to back her vehicle around a trailer parked at the foot of her driveway, was verbally assaulted by a man who used racial slurs, according to a Troy Police news release.

The incident reportedly occurred on the 5000 block of Virgilia late Friday morning. As the woman backed up past the landscaping trailer, she told police that one of the workers was looking at her. When she gave a "thumbs up," the man ran up to her vehicle, screaming obscenities and using a racial slur, according to the release.
The woman told police she thought the man may become violent, so she fled the area in her vehicle.
Man allegedly throws roll of tape in road rage incident
Troy Police responded to the area of Coolidge and Golfview on Thursday afternoon on reports of a road rage incident. A man said another driver on Coolidge became agitated when he attempted to merge in a construction area, according to Troy Police. The man allegedly threw a roll of tape, a can and other items at the man's car.
Officers spoke to the 40-year-old Chesterfield Township man, who admitted to throwing a roll of tape at the other driver.
Man cited for using laser on driver
Troy Police responded to a call from a driver at 12:03 a.m. Sunday who said someone in the vehicle behind him was shining a green laser light into his rearview mirror near South Boulevard and Adams Road.
Troy officers found and stopped the vehicle, then questioned the vehicle's 21-year-old passenger from Shelby Township. The man admitted to shining a laser light into the other driver's vehicle, Troy Police said in a news release.
Police confiscated the laser and issued the passenger a citation for interfering with a driver's vision or control.
