KEEGO HARBOR, MI — Oakland County authorities deployed a SWAT team over the weekend after an armed man allegedly barricaded himself and a hostage in his home and fired once at officers who were responding to a domestic violence complaint

The Oakland County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release that the Keego Harbor and West Bloomfield Township police departments requested the help of the SWAT team about 1 p.m. on Saturday after the man allegedly barricaded himself inside a home in the 3000 block of Portman Street.

The individual who had alerted police that the man was armed was trapped inside during the standoff, according to the report. The single shot came from a window and was aimed “at or near officers,” police said.
