Drive for Life Invitational
Benefitting oncology services at Corewell Health's Beaumont hospitals in Royal Oak and Troy
On Monday, July 10, the annual Drive for Life Invitational will be held at Oakland Hills Country Club in Bloomfield Hills. This year’s event is presented by AHEAD. The event will benefit programs and services at the Walter & Marilyn Wolpin Comprehensive Breast Care Center at Corewell Health’s Beaumont Hospital, Royal Oak and the Wilson Cancer Resource Center at Corewell Health’s Beaumont Hospital, Troy.
In addition to golf on Oakland Hill’s world-class championship courses, guests will enjoy meals, a cocktail reception and pro shot and tips by golf pro Rick Smith for those golfing the South course.
Chris Emde of Bloomfield Hills is the Fundraising Committee chairman for this year’s event, working alongside a committee of community leaders.

“This event is personal to me,” said Chris Emde. “Members of my family have been touched by cancer, including my mother. I know firsthand the importance of having access to programs that help detect, treat and cope with the disease. That is why, for more than 30 years, my family has been supporting events like this and other Beaumont cancer programs.”
The fundraising committee is working hard to secure sponsorships from dozens of groups including top sponsors: Priority Health, UCB intelligent Solutions, AIMS Construction, Capital Flooring, Johnson Controls, Barton Malow, Jenkin’s & Co. and Comprehensive Care Services. These and other generous donors have joined the hospital’s golf season partners: AHEAD, CBTS, Roncelli, US Signal and Whitlock Business Systems to support important patient programs.
