Is Jim Manna Really a Democrat?

With thousands of mail-in ballots already circulated, it's primary season again in Michigan. Jim Manna, whose signs appear to dot the West Bloomfield landscape this summer more than any other candidate, is running on the Democratic side of our ballots. A closer look at his X (formerly Twitter) page, though, seems to suggest Mr. Manna is not who he claims to be.

Mr. Manna's X page is replete with pro-Trump, anti-woke, and anti-Democratic Party content. The attached screenshots from Mr. Manna's page contain reposts of comments like "Damn, I love Trump" and "I AM SICK OF ALL OF THE EVIDENCE AGAINST DEMOCRATS AND NO HANDCUFFS. RETWEET IF YOU AGREE" Since Mr. Manna retweeted these posts, can we assume he agrees?

MAGA republicans are certainly entitled to exercise their rights to run for elected office at all levels of the government, but if Mr. Manna is really a republican deceptively running as a democrat to fool WB voters into voting for him, that would be very disturbing and unethical. If you are one of the many who already marked your ballot thinking Mr. Manna was a democrat, you can return it to the township as a spoiled ballot and receive a new one.
