1. What's (not) happening today
- Monday's West Bloomfield Township board meeting scheduled for 7 p.m. has been cancelled. The board is scheduled to meet next on July 15.Â
2. Make new friends
- Join the Greater West Bloomfield Chamber at Friendship Circle, 6892 W. Maple Rd., on Wednesday, July 10, at 8 a.m. for a "Mix and Mingle". Admission is free for Chamber members, $5 if you're not.Â
3. Enter a contest
- In case you missed it, Patch is giving away tickets to the opening weekend of "Grown Ups 2." Just log onto our Facebook page and click on the "Grown Ups 2" contest to find out more about your chance to win. Enter by July 8.Â
4. The Three R's at the Library
- Kids ages 5-10 will dress up as a wasteful lunch and look at ways to reduce waste, conserve energy and lead a "green" lifestyle Tuesday, 11 a.m., at the Main Library, 4600 Walnut Lake Road. No registration is required; see the library website for more information.Â
5. Look ahead: Library Summer Used Book Sale
- The Friends of the West Bloomfield Township Public Library event, held July 12-14 in the meeting room at the Main Library, begins with a preview for Friends members on July 12, 7 p.m.-9 p.m. You can join at the door. Proceeds will support library services, programs and materials.
