The Pine Lake Cemetery Memorial Day Service is back in person on Memorial Day, May 30, 2022, at 10:00 am at 4351 Middlebelt Road, in West Bloomfield! Oakland County Clerk Lisa Brown will share remarks as keynote speaker, the West Bloomfield Police Department Honor Guard will present the colors in a flag ceremony, West Bloomfield Township Supervisor Steve Kaplan will place the wreath and offer comments, Boy Scouts and area religious leaders will take part, and there will be bagpipes and other special music as we recognize the significance of "Sacrifice for the Sake of Safety and Security for All" in this ever-tumultuous world. There is limited seating, so attendees might wish to bring seating if desired. There is some parking available at the Cemetery. The event is free and open to the public, and is hosted by the Pine Lake Cemetery Association. Contact the Rev. Dr. Charles Packer, organizer of the event and Senior Minister of the Pine Hill Congregational Church, at drcapacker@gmail.com for more details.
