Start Up TV Show Features West Bloomfield Business Owner
The owner of P2 by Pink Pump talks about how she's building her business.
Start Up, a television series that airs on PBS stations, recently featured Tawny Thieu, owner of Pink Pump in Royal Oak and P2 by Pink Pump in West Bloomfield.
In all, Thieu operates eight stores in Oakland County. In the episode, she describes P2 as "the cheaper, trendier version of Pink Pump".
Thieu also talks about her childhood hardships and how she finally realized her dream of owning a business, despite being initially having her request for bank financing turned down.
"The things I got teased about for not having (as a child) are the things are the things that I make a living on now," Thieu said.
