Three West Bloomfield High School DECA students earned first place in the Central Region of the United States in the first round of DECA’s Virtual Business Challenge sponsored by Knowledge Matters. They will take their competition to the next level for the second year in a row, as they continue the competition at the DECA International Career Development Conference in Orlando, Florida this April.
Over 45,000 high school students competed from around the world in this two-week competition. Virtual Business is a game-like simulation that helps teach business, marketing, and personal finance. It links career skills to common core math, reading, and critical thinking competencies. Over 1 million students use the simulations nationwide.
