βItβs hard work,β he said, according to a news release. βThis is really exciting and itβs made me the happiest person alive right now. This was my goal and Iβve achieved it.β

βItβs a little different than last year since obviously Iβm the oldest one here,β Daavettila said. βThere was a little more pressure but I really enjoy this tournament and coming to see my friends, and itβs local, so I was headed in with confidence.β
Her opponent, who played up an age group, was excited about reaching the finals and was happy about her performance against the top-seeded Daavettila.
βThis feels great,β Yarlagadda said. βI thought I played well. We had long, tiring points, but we both played great and Iβm not mad at all that I lost. It was a great match.β
