Voters Approve $39M Public School Bond

Referendum to allow improvements in the district passes with overwhelming support.

Voters headed to the polls Tuesday to decide whether or not to allow Wyandotte Public Schools to issue $39.2 million in bonds for improvements at each of the district’s nine campuses.

The bond passed by an unofficial margin of 1,482-829, the report stated.

The funding will go toward upgrading school technology, security and athletic facilities across the district’s nine campuses, the Detroit Free Press reports.
