Niche’s rankings cover more than 93,000 public schools nationwide and are designed to give families a well-rounded picture of each school.

The evaluation includes metrics like academic performance, graduation rates, teacher quality, and student feedback on school culture, extracurriculars, and resources. For 2025, SAT and ACT scores were excluded to reflect the growing shift away from standardized testing in college admissions.
