AVHS Names New Head Football Coach
Pete Usset teaches special education at AVHS and was a multi-sport coach before taking on this new position.
APPLE VALLEY, MN — Apple Valley High School Athletics announced that it had hired a new head football coach.
Pete Usset teaches special education at AVHS and was previously a multi-sport coach, the Athletics department said. He was the special teams coordinator and linebacker coach for the football team, a strength and conditioning coach in the weight room and an assistant track and field coach for two seasons, the department said.
Usset was previously the head strength and conditioning coach and defensive coordinator at Two Rivers High School, the department said.

Usset has a Master's degree in special education from University of St. Thomas and a Bachelor's degree in business administration from University of Hamline, the department said.
