Burnsville Man Fatally Stabbed In Apple Valley; Suspect May Be Fleeing To Mexico
The suspect may be driving a gray Chrysler 300 with Minnesota plates to Mexico, police said.

APPLE VALLEY, MN — A 21-year-old Burnsville man was fatally stabbed early Sunday morning in Apple Valley, and police are asking for the public’s help in locating the suspect, who may be on his way to Mexico.
Officers were dispatched just after 3 a.m. Sunday to the intersection of Pennock Avenue and 138th Street after a report of a person lying on the sidewalk. They found a man covered in blood with a chest injury.
Despite lifesaving efforts, the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

On Tuesday, the Hennepin County Medical Examiner identified the victim as Daniel Isaac Aguilar, 21, of Burnsville. His cause of death was ruled multiple sharp force injuries, and the manner of death was listed as homicide.
Police have named Aron Isait Medina Rojas, 20, as the suspect. Authorities said Medina Rojas may be attempting to flee to Mexico and is considered dangerous.

He is associated with a 2017 gray Chrysler 300 with Minnesota license plate SKU892, though it’s unclear if he’s still using the vehicle.
Anyone who sees Medina Rojas is urged to call 911 immediately. Those with information on his whereabouts should contact the Apple Valley Police Department at (952) 322-2323.
Residents in the area with exterior cameras are asked to review footage from 2 to 3 a.m. Sunday, and to contact police with any relevant activity.
